not earthquake, but rather a Willed shift; a shift major.
Quit my stable job, resigned from my contract for home in Kongsberg outside Oslo.
Applied for five jobs, two of them in Copenhagen (where I also lived 1991-1997 and 2006-2009).
I need a new horizon, new context.
I don’t EVER want to become a person who simply does something within a context of “waiting until my retirement age”.
That was part of the start for DLTQ in march 2002; when I lived and worked in Brussels, and I one weekend in March before my March 22nd birthday simply sat down and had the process to find my next online nickname/handle (after Ehich which I had used since 1998, and Runner from 1995-1998).
One year ago or so I went for a new domain (str.is); related to the question of “what is the string?”, and I thought I would retire DLTQ completely. But — DLTQ still creeps into my mind.
What is the Question?
What am I Really doing here?
Why am I here and not there?
variations on that. To dig deeper. Not in an existential “why am I alive/what is the universe really” kind of thing, but a set of probing questions that circle around my actions (or lack of actions), my habits, my priorities and my structures.
I am 48 years old now. I was 23, almost 24, when I started my DLTQ path.
I turn 49 on March 22nd. In 4 months and something.
