Playful blogging
How often have I been in a playful mood while blogging lately?
Not much.
And that is pretty sad
So, cheers for playful blogging, and shorter, more frequent updates, and more links to friends, and more Conversation.
Our civilization on her way to conquest modern times
At the universal exhibition of Bruxelles in 1958, the following video was presented:
It was called “poeme électronique”, and there are several accounts about it scattered around the internet.
I have a long-standing interest in architecture, and lately I have been reading up on Le Corbusier, and I remember phrases and images from Rem Koolhas’ book, that I read over for a few years.
And I look back at the video from the first demo of the mouse, that Doug Engelbart did in the 1960s. And I scan through some of the books about modernism, or modern architecture, or the early uses of video, or computers.
And I compare that with the current exploration with video on the net.
And I ask myself: Is this it?
Bathroom Muzak
I was editing a movie yesterday - a collage of footage from the last couple of months. Four frames, 320×240 each, 640×480 total, rhytm, working with the four frames. It is not done yet, so meanwhile there is this, which I shot at the bathroom of a local club here in Copenhagen. I found the music equipment and the usual tagging interesting - not sure what to use it for though. But here it is, a reference.
I will shoot another lumiere today.
